Ruth Ron
Flute
Born and grew up in Jerusalem, Israel, received a B.A. in music from the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance in 1991. In 1997 Ruth received an Artist Diploma and Master of music from Indiana University, U.S.A
Since 1991 Ruth was a member of the leading orchestras in Israel, including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
Ruth performed as soloist with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Israeli Sinfonietta Orchestra, the I.K.O. and with the TLV ensemble.
Ruth performs and records regularly with professional chamber music groups such as the "Kaprisma" ensemble, and the Israeli Flute ensemble.
Ruth performed in different festivals including the contemporary music festivals in Buffalo, U.S.A and Seoul, S. Korea, the Red Sea and the Abu Gosh festivals in Israel etc…
Ruth teaches at the Givatayim conservatory and at the Buchman-Mehta school of music. Since 2017, Ruth is a member of the JMC education department.
Ruth is a winner of the Rubin Academy competitions, the Aicf scholarships and the IU scholarships.
