Born in Tel Aviv in 1977, Yael Barolsky performs regularly with leading musicians from Israel and abroad in chamber music concerts, is a member of the Israel Contemporary Players and was guest artist in numerous festivals including Rolandseck - Festival, Kfar Blum Music Festival, Eilat Festival, Tectonics Festival and Lucerne Festival. Yael has been broadcast on Israeli and European Radio and has performed as a soloist with conductors Pierre Boulez, Ilan Volkov, Marcello Panni and with orchestras as the Israel Philharmonic, Bochumer Symphoniker and the Israel Camerata Jerusalem. She studied with Haim Taub, Erich Gruenberg and Ida Bieler and graduated with distinction from the Postgraduate Performance Course achieving the Dip RAM, the highest accolade, for an outstanding final recital at London’s Royal Academy of Music. She later participated in the Soloists Course at the Robert Schumann Musikhochschule in Düsseldorf, and has a Contemporary Chamber Music diploma from the Musikhochschule Köln. Her studies were supported by the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and she was a member of the Young Musicians Unit of the Jerusalem Music Centre. Yael has performed with the Maria Kong dance company, Kolben Dance and with contemporary music ensembles including Ensemble intercontemporain and Ensemble musikFabrik. She is the artistic director of the chamber music series in Mizpe Ramon, CameriNegev and in 2015 she released her solo album "Meanderings".
